Casa Geminada is privately owned, has been in the family since the 1980’s and is pleasantly set amongst citrus groves. Close by you will find the picturesque Roman fishing port of Tavira. The nearest beach is about 3 miles from the villa and the village is 10-15 mins walk away. There are local mini-markets (one with English speaking owners) the usual bars, cafes and small restaurants and a pharmacy with an English-speaking chemist!!
The accommodation is comfortable and well equipped. The swimming pool is a good size at .8.5m x 4.5m and in a secluded, well sheltered south-facing position. Almost half an acre of part cultivated garden surrounds the house. Each half of the villa has 2 double/twin bedrooms, bed settee & cot, bathroom with bath and/or shower and scales; kitchen with full gas cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster etc. Each huge lounge/diner opens onto the terrace through sliding patio doors. There’s satellite TV (free channels or bring your own Sky card) and a DVD player. The two lounges are linked inside by a connecting door which can be open or locked shut. This setup may well suit larger parties, extended families or two families who wish to holiday together. Of course, either side will still be available separately. Fans are either fitted or supplied for all rooms but a portable air conditioner is available at extra cost on request. All beds, linen, furnishings and most of the equipment was recently purchased new in the UK.
The house is on one level and “wheelchair friendly” One side now has widened doors and a wheel-in wetroom with seat and accessible double washbasin. Large ramps now to the garden and pool area. More adaptation to follow.............
